Six tracks about
being the story

Trouble is Mark Taiwo writing his own front page.

Six songs about love, loss, and the version of you that gets discussed in rooms you have never been in — delivered in a baritone that stays low and conversational even when the feeling refuses to.

It moves from the swagger of X-Man to the quiet damage of Don’t Leave without ever raising its voice: afro-bashment rhythm underneath, R&B restraint on top, and features from Diedrick and Haych.

Out everywhere Friday 28 August 2026.

Profile

Mark Taiwo

He sings in a baritone that never rushes.

Mark Taiwo is an emerging R&B and soul artist from Essex, known for his silky baritone vocals, emotional songwriting, and modern take on contemporary R&B. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Usher, Jazmine Sullivan, Summer Walker, and Daniel Caesar, Mark creates music that explores love, heartbreak, vulnerability, and personal growth with honesty and depth.

Through releases including Change Me, GREEDY, SLIDE, STAY, The Flow, keep it a hundred, signs (motions), tell me why (first love), and talk to me, Mark has developed a sound that blends smooth melodies, rich harmonies, and heartfelt storytelling. His commitment to musicianship and authentic R&B songwriting has earned recognition within the UK’s growing R&B scene, including performances at major showcases such as SXSW London.

As he continues to build momentum, Mark Taiwo is establishing himself as one of the most promising new voices in British R&B, combining timeless soul influences with a fresh and contemporary perspective.

Trouble is the first time all of it sits in one place.
